The below are the results from the Fan Sentiment Survey for the Glazer & INEOS protest for the Arsenal game 17th August
Close to 26,000 fans have voiced their opinion with respect to targeting INEOS for this protest
Just to summarise under INEOS, their leadership team has implemented the following:
- Season ticket price rises some as high as 60% for certain season ticket holders.
- Categorised Premier League games, meaning a member must now pay a minimum of £97 per ticket for a Category A fixture
- Removal of long-standing match-going fans from their seats to expand corporate hospitality.
- Removal of the ballot system in the TRA, making it exclusive to season ticket holders – eliminating opportunities for youth development and fan experience for young United supporters.
- Discussions around introducing a Personal Seat License for the new stadium — a one-off payment of £4,000 just to reserve a seat. Season ticket renewals would still be required on top of this.
- INEOS have stopped any meaningful dialogue with the Fans Forum and the Fans Advisory Board. Which means these forums are just told what the club are doing. Without consultation. We think this is a dangerous president to set. A real red flag
It’s also important to clarify that the £200m “investment” in December was a requirement set by the Glazers during the share sale. Without it, we would have failed PSR (Profit and Sustainability Rules) miserably. It wasn’t a gift or any benevolent investment, it was a Glazer condition.
Thanks to everyone for taking the time to complete the survey.
